1 Review on “The ordering of time. Meditations on the history of philosophy”
Despite the word “meditations” in the subtitle, the book has nothing to do with meditation properly meant. Moreover, the author shows a strong metaphysical mentality, that actually prevents him from self criticism. At page 14 we can read “to know, to cognise, to understand, is to stand at a distance from the Real” and at page 17 “Metaphysical thinking in particular is, finally, the redemption of history and the rectification of injustice. In that unique and indispensable metaphysical sense, we are all ‘called to think’.”
